Bishop George Deal, III, was born to the late Deacon George Deal, Jr., and Mother Katie Louise Deal. He was educated in the Chicago Public School System. He later attended Truman College, Rock Valley College, and the University of Wisconsin. Being raised in a firm Christian home, he established a firm belief in God.
Bishop Deal continued his education; attending Charles Harrison Mason Bible College, receiving many certificates. He also holds an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Grace Theological Seminary located in South Carolina.
His community involvement includes; Founder of Wells Temple Community Development Corp., County Board Supervisor (WI), Vice-Chair of Social Services for Rock County, Vice-Chair of Education and Training, HUD, among other positions held within Community Organizations.
Bishop Deal curruntly pastor's Wells Temple of Deliverance Church. In April of 2002 he and the congregation of Wells Temple erected and moved into their new sanctuary. Under Bishop Deal's leadership many communoty outlets and programs have been established.
In October of 2003, he was appointment Superintendent of the Friendship District, serving in this capacity for 5 years. In July of 2008, after receiving the blessing of Bishop Washington, he united with the Churches of the Living God, and was appointed Bishop-Elect. In October of 2008, he was consecrated Bishop of the Midwest Diocese.
Bishop Deal has been married for 29 years to Clara M. Deal. They are the parents of two beautiful daughters C'iara and Chakyra.
Missionary Clara Marie Deal, born to the late Pastor Claude Fleming and Julia Fleming. She accepted Christ at an early age and has worked in the ministry most of her life.
She is a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School and the University of WI-Whitewater. She began her career in education 27 years ago as a Basic Skills Instructor for the Opportunities Industrialization Center. She is currently employed as director of University for Kids Academy.
Missionary Clara Deal became licensed in 2003 under Mother Rosa Smith and Fifth Jurisdiction Illinois-West, Bishop James Washington, Prelate. She works with her husband in the ministry and her servanthood includes Sunday School Teacher, Youth Worker, Chair of the Women's Dept., Singer and Church Pianist. Her desire is that all would come into the knowledge of Jesus Christ and accept him as their Lord and Saviour. "O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him". Psalms 34:8.
Lady Deal faithfully serves at Wells Temple of Deliverance Church and she is blessed to have her daughters, C'iara and Chakyra serve in the ministry also.
